Miami Dolphins DT Christian Wilkins Offers Confident Message Heading Into 2020 Season

The Miami Dolphins are heading into a very important season.

After spending big money in the offseason and filling crucial positions with rookie players, fans, coaches and players alike are surely hoping to see some marked improvement.

Second-year defensive tackle Christian Wilkins recently offered a lot of reason for optimism as 2020’s unique preseason continues to take shape.

Despite closing out the 2019 season in strong fashion, Wilkins isn’t close to satisfied with the player he currently is.

“I’m never a complete player; I’m never done working on my game,” Wilkins said Wednesday. “So there are always things you can improve on. The biggest thing for me is just working on hands, pad leverage and having good technique.”

Wilkins’ admission is quite impressive for a player that was drafted No. 13 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Last year, Wilkins finished with 56 total tackles and two sacks.

Surely, he will look to improve upon those numbers once the 2020 NFL season begins.

The Dolphins’ first regular season game is scheduled to take place on Sept. 13 against the New England Patriots.
