Tua Tagovailoa Dedicates Heartwarming Post to His Mom on Mother’s Day
- Updated: May 11, 2020

Miami Dolphins prized rookie Tua Tagovailoa is known as a very high-character young man, and he proved that fact on Mother’s Day by dedicating an adorable Instagram Story post to his mom, Diane.
From the looks of it, the image was taken after the younger Tagovailoa underwent surgery to repair the dislocated hip he suffered during last year’s collegiate season.
While Tua’s hip injury, as well as a laundry list of other football-related injuries, forced some NFL teams to leave the University of Alabama product off their draft boards entirely, the Dolphins jumped at the chance to select him with the No. 5 overall pick in last month’s draft.
Selecting the younger Tagovailo was certainly a calculated risk, but if it weren’t for his past injuries, he would have likely been selected with the No. 1 overall pick.
In fact, according to past reports, the Dolphins were ready to select the younger Tagovailoa when they learned that he had been given a clean bill of health by doctors.
Hopefully, the risk pays off for the Dolphins, and their new star quarterback helps lead the franchise back to prominence.
Surely, his mother will be cheering him on from his first NFL snap to his last many years from now.
