Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is no longer a student at the University of Alabama, and it looks like his younger brother, Taulia, may soon follow.

According to a Friday report, the younger Tagovailoa is looking to enter the NCAA transfer portal and is exploring leaving Alabama.

While the younger Tagovailoa putting his name in the transfer portal does not guarantee that his days in Tuscaloosa are numbered, it is the first step to joining a different college football team.

Last season, the younger Tagovailoa finished the season as the No. 2 quarterback on the Crimson Tide’s depth chart. He was the No. 3 quarterback before his star older brother suffered a season-ending hip injury.

While the younger Tagovailoa surely would have loved to get a shot at the starting job in his brother’s stead, Mac Jones replaced the elder Tagovailoa and never looked back.

Jones was 97-of-141 passing for 1,503 yards and threw 14 touchdowns on the season.

Though the younger Tagovailoa did not enjoy the same success that his brother did in Alabama, he is still quite talented.

Rated as a four-star recruit out of high school and the No. 9 dual-threat quarterback of the 2019 class according to Rivals.com, he certainly has a lot to offer at the collegiate level.

Considering the fact that the elder Tagovailoa is now one of the biggest football stars in South Florida, it is possible that if his younger brother does indeed decide to transfer, that he too could end up playing somewhere in the Sunshine State.
