Miami Dolphins News: Cody Parkey Named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week
- Updated: September 20, 2017
After a brilliant Week 2 performance in his first game for the Miami Dolphins, kicker Cody Parkey was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Parkey was perfect on all four of his field-goal attempts and one extra point attempt during Sunday’s thrilling 19-17 road victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, including what would be the game-winning 54-yard field-goal attempt with just over 1:05 remaining in regulation.

Parkey, who was claimed off waivers from the Cleveland Browns earlier this month after the Dolphins surprisingly released kicker Andrew Franks, grew up just north of Miami in the town of Jupiter.
